Getting Techie

I am in awe of bloggers and those who have souped up fancy FB profiles.  I've been reading blogs recently by our PC(USA) moderator, Bruce Reyes-Chow,  about why he and some of my other colleagues blog; as a spiritual discipline, a way of dialoging and sharing ideas, a way of staying in touch with those who might be disconnected from traditional faith communities.  I love the idea.

In my wandering I discovered Google Reader, an efficient way to select blogs that you'd like to receive update feeds from.  I stumbled on it at http://www.blogger.com and clicking on the dashboard menu.  It's amazing.  Now, not only do I get feeds from my favorite bloggers, but also from places like The Daily Show and Daily Quotes.  The quotes are great and here are a few of my favorites from today:

"When a thing is funny, search it carefully for a hidden truth."  George Bernard Shaw

"What if everything is an illusion and nothing exists? In that case, I definitely overpaid for my carpet." Woody Allen

"Try to learn something about everything and everything about something."  Thomas H. Huxley

So much to learn...so little time.

Yeah, blogging is fun, ain't it? Glad to see you in the blogosphere, and blessings to all the good folks at JCPC!
